Any Other Day,...Any Other Hour...

Hi There!

I hope everybody is doing well or at least trying to get there. Lately, most days I tell people, when they ask how I'm doing, I tell them, "Not too terrible!". (At least I'm being honest!) 

So, today is going well, so far. I just found out(yesterday, at dialysis) that I'm severely anemic. As a result, I have to receive iron infusions everyday at dialysis. If it isn't one thing, its something else, right?!

On a positive note, I only gained 0.2 kilos over the 2 day "weekend". (My weekend goes from Sunday to Monday) Its pretty awesome! Usually they allow for 1.0-2.0 kilo for over the "weekend". It basically means to some extent, my kidneys do function a little bit. Now, I know what you're thinking,....nope, Its not enough to get me off dialysis. There's more to that, than meets the eye.

These challenges are really very straight forward. I first give you a generalized idea of who were talking about. Then I give you a bonus question. It can be an obvious question, an obscure question or a question that might require you to research it to answer. As I say in my posts "...its not cheating, its research...".  

Then I give you a blurb(please forgive my poor grammar and sentance structure!) and a quoted piece of the answer. It could be partial lyrics to that song, partial lyrics to one of the songs in that specific musical, revue or operetta or it could be a quote from the play I'm referencing. Then I give you the links to my NKR sites. 


After I post 10 or more of them, I post a recap of what I've done since the last recap. I give you the (Lyrics) song title and the artist I requested as well as the answers to the bonus question. For the other type (Theater) I give an assortment of info on the play or musical and you have to give me the name of the production, creator(s)and a (and if your brave enough)the answer to those bonus questions. If you go to my personal page on the Facebook site, you can scroll down to find all the previous days posts. Please feel free to play. I ask everyone to please post their answer or a comment so that I know who's played. Its meant for lighthearted fun, so please don't be too harsh with the criticism.

TinaMarie's Kidney Transplant Journey

Hey Everyone! Hey, I'm Tina (TinaMarie), and this is my first time trying to blog. I write in my journal every morning, but this is a whole new ballgame. I'm putting my life (the good and the bad) out there for everyone to see and (hopefully not too harshly) judge. So, here goes nothing! Dialysis is just a part of my life, no way around it. It's a 3.5-hour commitment three times a week that keeps my blood clean and gets rid of extra fluid, giving me another day to live. Even though kidney failure has definitely brought its challenges, it's also led to a lot of growth and change. On one hand, I've had to put some things on hold during treatments, stick to a strict diet, and deal with other health issues like retinopathy, which has messed with my eyesight, and neuropathy, which means I need a walker because of damage to my left foot.  Not being able to drive anymore has been a big adjustment, and I have to rely on others and MAS transportation to get around (let me te...
