Today is a new day!
Yes, today is a new day and the journey has just begun. Here are 3 inspirational quotes for you.
"Some days, you're a warrior. Some days, you're a broken mess. Most days, you're a bit of both. But on all days, you're there, standing, fighting, trying."- Anonymous
"Its during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light."-(possibly by)Aristotle Onassis
"You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."-Anonymous (in the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr.)
I don't have dialysis today and my energy level is good. A good night's sleep will do that. I'm off to a great start!
Today I think I'll talk about my "Lyric Challenges" and "Theater 'Lyric' Challenges" that I post on Facebook. I'm trying to link them to my GoDaddy.com blog page and my personal domain (tinaneedsnewkidney.com). It hasn't happened yet because I have next to zero knowledge about web designing and technical stuff. I'm "flying without a net" here!
So, nearly every morning I post up to 2 or 3 challenges for anyone to play. One type is for lyrics by an artist, band or group, in a variety of genres. Its a blurb about the song and the performer(s) with a section of the lyrics. I also include a (sometimes obscure and sometimes not) bonus question. The bonus questions are to stimulate the reader's curiosity and hopefully, inspire them to look up more information.
The other one is about musicals, plays, revues/vignettes and some films. Its the same format except it has snippets of lyrics to a song in the musical or a quote from the play. After 10-15 are posted I post a "recap" of them all. You should check it out! Look me up on Facebook as TinaMarie Cerreta and on Reddit under u/lyricchallenge.
I still have to post today's entries. I find that it keeps my mind engaged to do these and my thoughts don't go to eating or my health issues. It helps to redirect my anxiety and improves my overall mood. Its also a way to stay connected to my passion, my craft and my education. I love nearly almost all music genres and most styles of theater. I also love to teach and educate. I was born to teach and its in my blood. I find that it helps to structure my present situation.
Well, enough jabbering outta me for today. Talk to you tomorrow! Have a fabulous week!
